Our dedicated team at the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry works tirelessly to support and advocate for businesses across the state. From policy initiatives to member services, each staff member plays a vital role in advancing our mission and connecting with our members.
Ryan Budmayr
President & CEO
Ryan Budmayr is the President and CEO of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the state’s leading advocate for business. A Belle Fourche native, Ryan attended the University of South Dakota before going to work for South Dakota’s 32nd Governor, Dennis Daugaard. In addition to his time in the Governor’s administration, his background includes work in politics, economic development, and marketing, most recently serving as Vice President for one of the region’s top marketing agencies, Lawrence & Schiller.
Ryan and his wife, Molly, live in Sioux Falls with their two children, Minnie and Teddy. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and upland bird hunting across South Dakota’s wide-open spaces. He is proud to lead the Chamber in building a stronger future for South Dakota businesses and families, ensuring opportunities for the next generation.
Ali Gabriel
Vice President of Development
As the Vice President of Development, Ali Gabriel leads efforts to build strong partnerships that advance the Chamber’s work and champion a thriving, PRO-business community. With a background in marketing, media, sponsorship development, brand strategy, and community engagement, she focuses on connecting businesses, leaders, and ideas in ways that create opportunity and lasting impact.
Originally from Minnesota, she relocated to South Dakota five years ago and quickly developed a deep appreciation for the strength and collaboration of this region’s business community. Ali is proud to support initiatives that help local businesses grow, connect, and succeed.
Outside of work, life is full with her husband, Tony, and their three daughters, who keep their family busy and laughing.
Nathanael Monroe
Project Manager
Nathanael Monroe recently joined the Chamber as Project Manager. Before coming on board, he spent several years working alongside Congressman Dusty Johnson in Washington, DC and on his campaign for Governor here in South Dakota. Nathanael started in Congressman Johnson's office as an intern, and over the next several years worked his way up through Staff Assistant and Scheduler — managing the Congressman's schedule, travel, and public engagements, and managing and training a team of Hill staff along the way. He also served as Director of Operations for the Republican Main Street Caucus, overseeing legislative events and day-to-day operations on Capitol Hill.
Most recently, Nathanael served as Director of Operations and Logistics for Dusty's gubernatorial campaign, running statewide field strategy, coordinating events and resources across South Dakota, and building relationships with legislative candidates and community leaders around the state.
Nathanael is excited to bring that experience to the Chamber's work promoting economic growth and sound business policy across South Dakota and looks forward to supporting the organization's mission on behalf of its members.
